Dione Goyette
I started painting professionally in 2001 when I created a line of watercolor prints and acrylic paintings on recycled boards called My Foolish Art.
Then I moved to Mexico in 2005 and studied under the tutelage of Ernesto de la Pena Fulch at The Belles Artes in San Miguel de Allende. There, over the course of two years he ‘untaught’ me every thing I ever learned about painting and showed me how to paint ‘subconsciously’ instead of ‘self-consciously’.
I moved to Davidson, NC in August 2008 with my husband and three children and started a company called ‘Art In Hand’ which helps artists find a wider audience for their work through the sale the ‘Art in Hand’ decks of cards, fully functional cards designed by local artists in Charlotte, NC and Portland, OR with new decks coming for Washington, DC and Chicago in 2011.
