Nancy Sasz , a native Charlottean, began working with wood in art classes at UNC Chapel Hill and pursued this in-terest more fervently while living in New York City after college. While working at Scholastic Books as an editor during the days, Nancy created wood sculptures during the evening hours and on weekends. Nancy returned to the South to attend graduate school and later to teach high school English. She also taught classes in graphic design and web publishing and went from the classroom to building and managing web sites, cutting, painting and creating on the side when she could grab a few hours. She now lives in Charlotte with her husband Steve, three daughters Sally, Patsy and Lucy, and two dogs Elvis and Hubbins creating whatever she can pull from the crazy moments that life offers.
