Christy Tomes, the creative force behind Cherry-Picked Creations, has been working with paper crafts since 2001. What started as a personal hobby quickly blossomed into a passion and eventually became a business.
Every single Cherry-Picked greeting card is stamped, colored and assembled by hand, and the coordinating envelopes are lined by hand – all done personally by Christy. She takes a lot of pride in her work and considers herself a perfec-tionist, so you can be guaranteed that any card you select will be of the highest quality.

When not creating cards, Christy works at her ‘real job’ with one of Charlotte’s banks and spends time with her hus-band, five-year old daughter and two golden retrievers. She graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Business, bounced around for a few years and finally landed in the Queen City in 1999.

“I love the creative process of starting with a single sheet of paper and slowly building layers onto that to come up with not just a greeting card, but a work of art. My hope is that the recipient of your card will remember that special gift and the thought and time that went into it. These are so much more personal than a mass-produced card – when you present this to someone they know that it is something unique.”
