Lauren creates paintings that are full of bright colors, strong lines, and clean shapes. Lauren is influenced by the bold use of color, line, and brush stroke in the Fauve paintings of the early 1900’s. She constantly finds inspiration in family, friends, and nature. This combination of influence and inspiration produce a joyful and colorful work of contemporary art.

Lauren was born and raised in North Palm Beach, Florida. The beach, boating, and fishing were a large part of her childhood. She began painting in high school art classes. Her interest in painting continued throughout college and graduate school. She spent many years teaching elementary school where her creativity was applied in the classroom.

Lauren has been living in Charlotte, North Carolina since 1999. She is happily married to Charles. They have two boys who provide constant inspiration and encouragement.
